Nite Guard Solar - Eyespots

By Katie Berning
Eyespots are a form of “automimicry” in which a spot on the body of an animal resembles an eye of a different animal to deceive potential predators; to appear as an inedible or dangerous animal to the predator.  This fascinating design of nature played an important role in the design of the Nite Guard Solar light and helps explain why it is so effective at keeping predators away.

See our March 7, 2008 blog for additional information on eyespots.
