Cabin Security System: Use Nite Guard Solar LightsImagine this. You are the proud owner of a charming and rustic cabin in the woods; on summer weekends, you stay at your cabin, hike, fish at the nearby lake, and sit on the cabin’s porch while the sun goes down.
Remote cabins allow us to connect with nature, and to recharge. You want your cabin to be there, safe and secure, season after season. To accomplish this, you’ll need a solid cabin security system.
This is where Nite Guard Solar comes into the picture.
We developed Nite Guard Solar to deter nocturnal predators—like raccoon, coyote, wolves, deer, bear, and owl—from disturbing chicken coops, livestock, farms, gardens, and other personal property. Our predator deterrent lights effectively stopped predators, and worked so well that customers began experimenting with alternate uses.
They got creative, and installed their Nite Guard Solar lights as a security system. This also proved to be a successful application. They protected places of business, cars, homes, and cabins.
And that’s why we recommend installing Nite Guard Solar at your remote property.
Why Nite Guard Solar?
Most cabins are off the grid. And since our devices use solar power to recharge, they are perfect for a remote property.
Nite Guard Solar lights have high-quality solar panels that recharge a long-lasting battery.
After easily installing your Nite Guard Solar lights, you can trust these maintenance-free devices to operate for years.
Where do I install my lights?
Your cabin’s design will determine where you install your lights. If you have windows, then install a light inside the windowsill. Also, you can experiment with the quantity of devices, i.e., one device in the cabin’s main window, or a device in each windowsill. And if your cabin doesn’t have windows, you can easily install lights on the cabin’s siding.
One piece of a system
Please note, Nite Guard Solar lights are one part in a multipart cabin security system. Every cabin owner has their own strategy that works well for their unique location. We recommend that you do some cabin security research.
Additional cabin security ideas
- Install “No Trespassing” signs.
- Set up lights on timers inside the cabin.
- Install trail cameras.
- Ask for help from local authorities. Some local and state police offer to check on cabins. Contact your local station to find out if they offer this service.
- Move things around. We enjoyed this suggestion from Cabin Living magazine. The idea here is to give the impression that you’re often at your cabin by moving your belongings from one place to another. Think, moving the rake over there, and shifting a chair to the other side of the porch. And the same goes for inside the cabin; move a blanket from one chair to another, and change the position of items in the kitchen.
