How It Works: Nite Guard Repellent Tape, Not Your Ordinary Flash Tape
Are daytime predators, like deer, having their fill of your garden? Are coyote and raptors preying on your chickens? Stop these animals in their tracks by installing Nite Guard Repellent Tape, a daytime predator deterrent that works. Our Repellent Tape relies on light, motion, and noise to scare away deer, coyote, raptors, feral cats, and other creatures.
How Does Light Scare Away Daytime Predators?
Nite Guard Repellent Tape has an extra-wide (2”), reflective Mylar surface that ― with the help of a repeating bullseye pattern ― produces bright flashes of light, flashes that are much brighter than your ordinary flash tape. These unexpected flashes startle deer, coyote, hawks, and other animals. Feeling threatened by the sudden, bright flashes, they make themselves scarce.
How Does Noise Scare Away Daytime Predators?
Our heavy-duty Nite Guard Repellent Tape was designed to create loud crackles that are noisier than run-of-the-mill flash tape. Just like the bright flashes of light, the loud crackling noise triggers the “fight or flight” instinct in deer, coyote, and other creatures, resulting in their “flight” from the scene.
How Does Motion Scare Away Daytime Predators?
Motion brings everything together. When our flash tape is in motion, it creates simultaneous, bright flashes and a continuous, loud, crackling noise. These both intensify as wind speed increases.
